Seattle has so much to offer first time visitors, no matter your interests. Those into the outdoors will love all the local parks and waterfronts in the region.

Those into discovering new cities will love exploring the streets of downtown Seattle while visiting local museums, restaurants, markets, and breweries.

This guide to 24 hours in Seattle is intended to inspire a future visit for those who may not have previously considered a Seattle vacation. I think you'll find Seattle is a beautiful city with plenty to keep you entertained during your trip.

Start your day in Seattle off early with a morning walk in Discovery Park.

Discovery Park is the city's largest public park and is located on a peninsula along the Puget Sound. With over 11 miles of walking trails weaving through the park, you'll have no shortage of trail options to choose from during your visit.

One popular option is the Discovery Park Loop Trail, a relatively flat 2.8 mile trail that weaves through open meadow and forest land.

A visit to Discovery Park is all about the views and enjoying time in nature. You can expect to experience incredible views of Puget Sound, Mt. Rainier, and the Olympics.

After your morning walk in Discovery Park make your way to downtown Seattle to the historic Pike Place Market.

Here you can enjoy exploring the various market stalls and restaurants and wander through the famous fish market next door.

Pike Place Market is also the perfect place to grab a late breakfast or lunch. You'll find all kinds of restaurants serving everything from pizza to pastries. You can even enjoy sampling local craft beers and hand crafted cocktails.

If you enjoy seafood, this is the perfect place to get it.

Located just a short drive north of the Pike Place Market you'll find the Pop Culture Musuem which features a variety of interesting exhibits examining various aspects of popular culture from recent decades.

Current exhibits at the museum include Body of Work: Tattoo Culture, Nirvana: Taking Punk to the Masses, Pearl Jam: Home and Away, Scared to Death: The Thrill of Horror Film, and many more.

Be sure to purchase your tickets in advance on the Musuem of Pop Culture website. The museum is currently open Friday through Monday but will be open daily beginning May 27, 2021.

After your visit to the Pop Culture Museum you can walk over to Seattle's iconic Space Needle.

The Space Needle stands 605 feet tall and offers the opportunity to experience the best views of Seattle and the surrounding area.

Once at the top you can enjoy Drinks on the Deck or have a bite to eat at the Lounge. Advanced reservations for these experiences are required. You can book reservations for these experiences on the Space Needle website.

If you're not looking for food and drinks, you can also just enjoy the 360 degree Seattle views. There's even a glass floor if you'd like to get the full experience.

If you'd like to visit the Space Needle during sunset, you'll want to get your tickets as soon as possible. As you can imagine, sunset is a popular time to visit.

General admission for the Space Needle starts at $35 per person for adults.
