American Shad are super fun to catch! They are in the Sacramento River! But this does not mean that they are easy to catch. In this episode, I am with Captain Kirk Westervelt of YouTube fame. He was very generous in taking me on his North River 22-foot boat! We fished the outgoing tide between 8 AM until 4 PM. There were more than a hundred fish caught during that time frame. Unfortunately, we were not in that category this time. However, it is a tremendous blessing to be along side someone who enjoys fishing as much as I do.
