I’d vote for a smart, educated, healthy, and good-looking guy as the leader of the free world.

Yes! I would vote for The Rock, along with 46% of the rest of the country. After Biden’s bid ends, whether it is four years or eight, The Rock may be the rock on which this country can stand. I believe it.

How did this question even arise? In a 2016 interview with GQ Magazine, Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock alluded to broadening his horizons with a future in politics. “The thought of being President is alluring”, he said.

Then in 2018, in an interview on the Late Show, Johnson said he was seriously considering for office in 2024 or 2028. More recently, the subject has been of interest in many press releases.

But what caught my attention was the piece I saw on Today showcasing a TV show called Young Rock. It portrayed Johnson as an older Rock campaigning for President in 2032.

I don’t think our Founding fathers ever envisioned a six-four, bald, tattooed, half-black, half-Samoan, tequila drinking, pickup driving, fanny-pack wearing guy joining their club-but if it ever happens, it will be my honor to serve, you, the people. — Dwayne Johnson, The Rock

Is this possible? Yes, it is. I mean, Ronald Reagan did it. Arnold Schwarzenegger and pro-wrestler Jesse Ventura won political offices.

Consider this scenario for 2028: Dwayne Johnson vs Donald Trump. This is not a giant leap of the imagination because Trump has publicly expressed his desire to run for office again.

Just for the fun of it, let’s make some vs comparisons.

Both men are gifted with the gift of gab, however, Johnson’s communication is upbeat, positive, and charismatic. Trump draws upon people’s fear which is the underlying emotion of anger. I’ve observed friends get sucked into Trump’s rhetoric and become afraid of the other.

Johnson will definitely put “the Smackdown” on his opponent, whoever it is. Hayward, California, may produce the greatest politician yet.

Can you sm-e-e-ll what The Rock is cooking?
