(WASHINGTON) Republican Texas Rep. Ronny Jackson allegedly made "sexual and denigrating" comments about a female subordinate, drank alcohol and took sleeping medication while working as a White House physician, according to a Department of Defense inspector general report, obtained by CNN.

The findings stem from a years-long investigation into Jackson, who served during the Obama and Trump administrations and now sits on the House Armed Services subcommittee.

Among the allegations against Jackson, he is accused of "yelling, screaming, cursing, or belittling subordinates" and drinking while on presidential trips, which is against protocol and using Ambien while on duty during long presidential flights.

Jackson, who was nominated by former President Donald Trump to serve as Veterans Affairs secretary in 2018, originally withdrew his nomination after original allegations became "a distraction" for Trump.

In response to the report, set to be released publicly Wednesday, Jackson said Democrats were using the IG report to "rehash untrue attacks" against his integrity.

"I flat out reject any allegation that I consumed alcohol while on duty," he said. "I also categorically deny any implication that I was in any way sexually inappropriate at work, outside of work, or anywhere with any member of my staff or anyone else. That is not me and what is alleged did not happen."
