Despite previously canceling the event, the NBA announced that it is planning to hold the 2021 All-Star Game this year in Atlanta, according to CBS Sports.
The event was originally set to be held in Indianapolis, but was canceled prior to the start of the season. Indianapolis will host the 2024 All-Star game.
This version of All-Star weekend will be unlike any that came before it, mostly due to the fact it won’t span the entire weekend. The All-Star Game and the skill contests will take place on the same day.
The 3-Point Contest and the Skills Challenge will take place before the game and the Slam Dunk Contest will be held during halftime.
There will be no fans in attendance. The league will also attempt to create a “mini bubble” of testing in order to keep the festivities safe.
