(MILWAUKEE) Both Madison and Milwaukee were included on U-Haul's annual top 25 list for cities with the biggest net migration.
Madison was fifth on U-Haul's growth list and Milwaukee was 13th. The two Wisconsin cities were only two of three from the midwest in U-Haul's city growth list, according to BizTimes Milwaukee.
U-Haul calculates migration growth using the net gain of one-way U-Haul trucks entering a city vs. leaving a city over a given year. The trends data included over 2 million rentals.
Tennessee was the number one state for net migration, with Wisconsin coming in sixth.
Madison was previously the top city on U-Haul's list in 2016 and finished ninth in 2018. Neither Milwaukee nor Madison made U-Haul's top 25 in 2019.
