(MILWAUKEE) The Milwaukee Bucks released a statement on Twitter Tuesday following the decision by Kenosha County District Attorney Michael Graveley to not charge the white police officer who shot Jacob Blake in August, resulting in his paralysis from the waist down.

The police shooting of Blake intensified an already hyper-active summer of protests following the police killing of George Floyd in the spring and the shooting of Ahmaud Arbery by a white man in February.

The Bucks refused to play the Orlando Magic in a playoff game this summer following the shooting of Blake in Kenosha. This set off a domino effect of sorts as other teams chose not to play eventually leading to a walkout.

The walkout was only quelled when Former President Obama talked with Andre Iguodala, Lebron James and Chris Paul reportedly advised them to take a different approach and continue the playoffs.
