(PHILADELPHIA) Rapper Meek Mill played the role of Santa Clause for families in the Philadelphia area.

Partnering with REFORM Alliance, Puma, GoPuff and DocuVault, Meek helped arrange gift deliveries to 35 families affected by the criminal justice system, according to Complex.

The items donated include MacBook Air laptops, iPads, baby clothes and Xbox Series X consoles. Meek also made a $30,000 donation to the Philadelphia chapter of Twelve Days of Christmas, a volunteer organization, which will buy gifts for other Philadelphia families.

"It’s been a tough year for all of us, but through all the ups and downs, I’ll always do my part to support and give back to the Philly community that raised me," Meek told TMZ.  "I remember not having much growing up, so it’s important to use my platform to give back, especially to the families trying to provide for their kids while also dealing with the criminal justice system."

Keeping up with COVID-19 protocols, Meek FaceTimed some of the families he delivered gifts to and heard their stories.

Meek has been an active philanthropist in the Philadelphia community. He held a holiday toy drive last year for 3,500 kids and donated $100,000 worth of toys the year before, Complex reported.
