This year has been an especially hard one for so many Americans. COVID-19 has rampaged across the country and has resulted in the loss of life as well as the loss of so many jobs.
Many people have opted to stay safe and avoid travel during this holiday season, potentially spending Christmas Day and New Year's Eve alone. A huge part of the holiday season is giving, and there are thousands of people across America in need of help.
Here are a few organizations and agencies to give your time and/or money to help those in need:

- Feeding America: "The Feeding America nationwide network of food banks secures and distributes 4.3 billion meals each year," the website notes. Feeding America accepts direct donations and can also direct users to specific food banks across the country.
- All For Good: All For Good is a search directory for events, projects and organizations near you from volunteer sites across the country. It allows organizations to post their projects and volunteers to find projects to assist with.
