IOWA CITY, Iowa (IOWA'S NEWS NOW) — The University of Iowa could soon face a multi-million-dollar lawsuit from several former Black football players. That's according to a legal exchange first reported by The Des Moines Register. Eight former players are now working with Tulsa civil rights attorney Damario Solomon-Simmons. In a long letter to the university, Solomon-Simmons outlined several demands from the former players, who alleged racial discrimination during their time in the football program.
