In 1943, a patriotic teen boy sent his dog Rex to support United States Armed Forces in World War II because he was too young to fight for his country. Fast forward 2020, Rex will be watching over Margate’s first dog park thanks to the patriotic teen’s grandson who listened to stories about the family’s canine war hero.
