Florida’s dining scene continues to heat up as Texas Roadhouse, a steakhouse chain known for its fresh-cut steaks, hearty ribs, and signature warm, buttery rolls, announces the opening of two new locations in the Sunshine State.
A Steakhouse with a Legendary Reputation
Despite what its name might imply, Texas Roadhouse didn’t originate in Texas. Instead, it was born in Clarksville, Indiana, and has since grown into a nationally recognized brand celebrated for its scratch-made sides and generous portions. The chain’s website proudly touts its commitment to quality, a point echoed by food critics; for instance, The Daily Meal has lauded its bone-in ribeye as “a meat-lovers dream come true”
What Floridians Love About Texas Roadhouse
For many Floridians, Texas Roadhouse offers more than just a meal—it provides an experience. Reviews from various locations highlight not only the perfectly cooked steaks and savory sides but also the inviting, down-home atmosphere. One diner,Melissa Previte noted on Google reviews, “Wow, this place was packed at 4:30 pm on a Saturday! We thought we would beat "the rush," but it seemed like so did everyone else. Thankfully, there is plenty of parking around this location, and we only waited about 10 minutes. This being our first time here, the inside is huge. There are plenty of staff, and they literally give you rolls as soon as you sit down. The cocktail menu has a lot of unique drinks, but the star for me was the fried pickles. Perfectly crisp, like nothing I've ever had. The steaks are all great, but my Dallas Filet was amazing! Our server was fantastic and brought lemons for our water without us even asking, which was nice. Definitely enjoyed our dining experience here! Oh, and don't forget the Mac and Cheese!! So good!”
Such testimonials underscore the chain’s popularity in a market that already boasts a robust lineup of local and national steakhouse options, including Florida-based Outback Steakhouse and Cody’s Original Roadhouse.
Two New Florida Openings
Responding to the demand for more accessible, high-quality steakhouse experiences in Florida, Texas Roadhouse is set to debut two new venues:
- Odessa’s Trinity Area: The first new location is scheduled to open at 13715 State Road 54 in Odessa’s Trinity area on March 31, 2025. This site promises to bring the chain’s signature dining experience to a broader audience.
- Parrish’s Seaire Community: The second location will be situated in the Seaire community in Parrish. Strategically positioned about 1.5 miles east of Interstate 75, this venue is set to join neighboring eateries like Glory Days, Slim Chickens, and Wendy's, catering to both locals and travelers.
These expansions mark yet another milestone in Texas Roadhouse’s ongoing growth, as it adapts to the evolving tastes and preferences of a diverse customer base. By blending classic steakhouse traditions with a welcoming, casual vibe, the chain continues to carve out a niche that appeals to both loyal fans and new diners in Florida.
